This action is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, all personal data associated with your myID identity will be permanently removed. We do not hold backups of your local data.

Under GDPR Article 17 and UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We will process your request and confirm deletion to the contact information provided.

How to Delete Your Account

In-App Deletion

The fastest and most complete way to delete your account.

  1. Open the myID app on your device
  2. Go to Settings (via the Security tab)
  3. Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account
  4. Type DELETE to confirm

This clears all local data and sends a server-side deletion request in a single step.

If you no longer have access to the app, use the form below to request server-side deletion of any data transmitted during verification.

Uninstalling the App

Partial

Uninstalling removes all locally stored data (credentials, keys, personal info). However, to also remove any server-side verification data, please use the in-app deletion or the web form before uninstalling.

What Data Gets Deleted

  • Phone number and email verification records
  • Session cache data (MRZ, session keys)
  • Any residual OTP or verification tokens
  • All locally stored identity data, credentials, and cryptographic keys (via in-app deletion)

Note: Anonymised audit logs (session IDs and timestamps without personal identifiers) may be retained for up to 10 years as required by eIDAS 2.0 regulatory obligations, per GDPR Article 17(3)(b).
